I've had multiple server owners announce that they'll be deleting their communities if they get flagged as requiring verification. We have people who either can't verify because the AI says they're not an adult, or people who won't verify because of the exponentially increasing privacy concerns. It says a lot when it's easier to get drugs than it is to freely talk to your friends.

When the UK started requiring ID for anything flagged as adult, we 'de-nsfw'd' a server. Still the same content, but any channel marked as nsfw got set to sfw, just so we didn't have people missing half our conversations or having to share memes in DMs

YouTubers frantically swapping thumbnails and titles of the video every minute for 48 hours after upload is extremely annoying. Often they even upload 10 titles/thumbnails at once, so it's random on every refresh, even if you refresh several times per second. Do you know any userscript which saves title/description into a cache, and permanently "fixes" them into a static title/description?

You can click on the name in the upper-left to get to the SWF. Converter script is currently on my system, it converts lots of stuff wrong so I won't publish it for now. (Also it is generated by an LLM which contributes a bit to that fact.)

for lossless, j2k is somewhere between cjxl e2 and e3 in terms of compression (for photographic images), i.e. better than PNG, more or less comparable to webp but can handle > 8-bit. For e.g. 10-bit or 12-bit, it's a LOT better than PNG. There's a reason medical imaging uses J2K.

Encode speed with opj_compress is an order of magnitude slower than cjxl e3 though.
